Polyferric sulfate is widely used in the purification and treatment of drinking water, industrial circulating water and professional industrial wastewater such as chemical industry, petroleum, mining, papermaking, printing and dyeing, brewing, steel, gas and so on. It can play an ideal role in different regions and different kinds of water sources. When in use, the liquid polymerized ferric sulfate is generally prepared into 10% – 50% aqueous solution (which can be directly added when the turbidity of the source water is high), and the solid polymerized ferric sulfate is prepared into 10% – 30% aqueous solution. Then, according to the specific situation, the prepared solution is input according to the better conditions and dosage. After full stirring, a better coagulation effect can be obtained.
For example, the thermal power plant has large water consumption and high requirements for water quality. Generally, the lime ferrous sulfate water treatment process is selected, but the water quality after treatment is not ideal. This method was also used in a thermal power plant. During the treatment process, it was found that the turbidity of the river changed greatly in different seasons. In the rainy season, even if the dosage of ferrous sulfate was added, the effluent still could not meet the requirements, and the dosage of ferrous sulfate was too high and the oxidation was incomplete, resulting in the addition of iron content in the effluent. Later, the experiment of polyferric sulfate was used and achieved outstanding results. In China, textile and printing and dyeing industries are large water users. Their wastewater contains high organic pollutants, toxic substances and certain colors. With different factories, processes, dyes and sizes, the composition of wastewater changes greatly and is difficult to treat. It has always been the key point of wastewater treatment. In practice, compared with other flocculants, polyferric sulfate can reduce the treatment cost.
Therefore, compared with other flocculants, the selection of polyferric sulfate can not only improve the effluent quality, but also improve the subsequent softening efficiency, create conditions and greatly reduce the treatment cost in production.
