Polyferric sulfate is an inorganic polymer coagulant with superior performance. Its morphological properties are light yellow amorphous powdery solid, which is very soluble in water. 10% (mass) of aqueous solution is red brown transparent solution, with hygroscopicity. Polyferric sulfate is widely used in the purification of drinking water, industrial water, various industrial wastewater, urban sewage, sludge dewatering and so on.
Polyferric sulfate is mainly used in the application field. It has excellent water purification effect, good water quality, no harmful substances such as aluminum, chlorine and heavy metal ions, and no water transfer of iron ions. It is non-toxic, harmless, safe and reliable. It has remarkable effects in turbidity removal, decolorization, deoiling, dehydration, sterilization, deodorization, algae removal, COD, BOD and heavy metal ions in water. It is also used for industrial wastewater treatment, such as printing and dyeing wastewater. It is also widely used in casting, papermaking, medicine, tanning and so on.
1. Printing and dyeing wastewater treatment can replace the traditional coagulant of low molecular iron salt and aluminum salt. Compared with the characteristics of large dosage of traditional coagulant, low coagulation efficiency and aluminum ion residue, it is easy to cause secondary pollution. The dosage of polyferric sulfate is about 150ppm, which is small and has high removal rate of COD and chromaticity.
2. Electroplating wastewater treatment can be used as coagulant and complexing agent. The complex is mainly copper ammonia complex, which has stable properties and pH = 11. It is difficult to precipitate directly with alkali, polyaluminium and other coagulants. It can also be used as reclaimed water reuse.
3. For papermaking wastewater treatment, instead of polyaluminium chloride and aluminum sulfate, it can be used as coagulant and dewatering of papermaking sludge. In the white water recovery process of papermaking wastewater treatment, polyferric sulfate (polymer containing strong cations) can not be used, but polyaluminium chloride can only be used.
