Polyferric sulfate is a kind of high molecular flocculant, which has the main functions of coagulation, phosphorus removal and decolorization in water. In addition to its own quality, it is also affected by the content of pollutants in the water, water temperature, pH and other factors. The other is its dosing position, which will not only change its main role, but also affect the subsequent purification treatment.
Dosing position of polyferric sulfate in wastewater treatment
1. Like other coagulants, PFS can be added before the primary sedimentation tank of wastewater treatment. This adding direction can improve the removal rate of COD and suspended solids in wastewater.
2. However, in the aeration tank, between the aeration tank and the secondary sedimentation tank (in the connected pipeline or channel), these two dosing positions help to improve the dissolution rate and mixing effect of coagulants such as polyferric sulfate under the action of aeration.
3. After biochemical treatment. This is because it is difficult to deal with soluble phosphorus, and microorganisms transform soluble phosphorus to improve phosphorus removal rate, which will not cause damage to the biochemical system.
Dosing method and dosage of polyferric sulfate
When using polyferric sulfate, the liquid polyferric sulfate is generally prepared into an aqueous solution of 10%--50% (which can be directly added when the turbidity of the source water is high), and the solid polyferric sulfate is prepared into an aqueous solution of 10%--30%. Then, according to the specific situation, the prepared solution is added according to the appropriate conditions and dosage, and good coagulation effect can be obtained after full stirring.
The dosage of polyferric sulfate can be determined according to the different turbidity of raw water. For general turbid (turbidity is 100-500mg/l) water, 30-50kg of this product is used per thousand tons. The dosage of non drinking high turbidity industrial sewage can be appropriate.
Different application purposes and different dosing positions
1. When phosphorus removal is the main purpose, the polymerized iron that can be added to different effluent total phosphorus is at different positions, and the phosphorus content is relatively small, so it can be added to the primary sedimentation tank. When the relative phosphorus content is relatively high, coagulant is added to the effluent of the secondary sedimentation tank and filtered. When there is no biochemical tank, add flocculant directly.
2. The main purpose is to remove COD. For example, in the treatment of papermaking wastewater, it is generally added after the secondary sedimentation tank or after biochemical treatment.
3. When the main purpose is to remove suspended solids, it can be directly added to the coagulation tank.
